Trying to attract customers in the restaurant industry can be tougher than a two-dollar steak (pun intended). How many other restaurants are within a couple blocks of you – let alone in your town? We want help you stand out and have packed house every night (or morning if that’s your primetime . . . . and as big fans of French toast, we salute you if it is). Whereas Cidewalk will always help you bring about brand awareness, here are a few restaurant specific tips on how you can use Cidewalk to stand out:
5. Promote Your Signature Dish – What dish do people drive for miles just to get a small sampling? Use this in your description. Whereas you don’t necessarily have to promote yourself as “Home of the . . .”, it might not be a bad way to go.

4. Link to Your Menu – Instead of your website home page, why not link directly to your menu? Customers who are interested can directly see your offerings . . . who knows, they may even see something that they have to try right at that minute.

3. Show Off Your Seasonal Specials – Promoting a fall menu? Have a special summer beer on tap? How about a warm winter dessert? Show these off in your description section. Using something like “Now serving . . .” typically works pretty well.

*Note that while we have found promoting seasonal specials works well on Cidewalk, I offer caution about daily specials. This requires constant upkeep or you risk annoying your customers by offering something you no longer have.

2. Tell People About New ItemsCidewalk is one of the easiest and best ways to tell hundreds of people about anything new happening in your restaurant. People learning about a new dish may just drum some additional business.

1. I’m The Best At . . . . – Brand yourself as the best at what you do. I can I say I’m always trying to find the best pizza, best Chinese restaurant, best take-out option, best date night place, etc. in my city. . . . and I’m more than willing to try a place out if they claim to be!
